Resolved Question: can i return my groin protector?

so i bought a groin protector from sports authority last week. i do brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai kickboxing so a cup would be a pretty smart investment... so i purchased one and when i got home i googled other groin protectors and found some MMA groin protectors that would be more efficient for me than the cup i bought. i only opened the package so would sports authority take the groin protector back if i went to return it?...
